Matt co-owns Old Smithy Tattoo with wife Hollie May, He moved into Studio Manager roll in 2016 when Bex started her apprenticeship, moving from his trained profession as an Outdoor Pursuits Instructor. Matt runs all aspects of the studio, especially keeping the artists in line!!! Matt also looks after all Hollie's bookings and can help with enquiries and bookings for the other artists, It'll be Matt you speak to first when contacting the parlour.

Matt is also known for his bearding antics across the country, competing and placing at several "beard competitions"! He placed 2nd at the 2018 British Beard and Moustache Championships in Blackpool in the Partial Freestyle Category and in the same category placed 6th at the World Beard & Moustache Championships 2019 in Antwerp, Belgium.
