Hello and welcome.

 

Who's Matt Wall I hear you asking? Well, I'm the co-owner of Old Smithy Tattoo, in Leek Staffordshire with my wife Hollie May, check her out by clicking here. I'm also a 'bearding competitor' who travels around the country to compete in Beard Competitions and now the world as I travelled to compete in my first Internation event The World Beard & Moustache Championships in Antwerp Belgium.

Bearding????? Yeah, I know nuts right, but men with beards or moustaches. Even women or guys that don't want to grow a beard who create their own beard out of anything they can, whom all compete in a competition, which is judged to see who has the best, I guess it's a cross between a beauty pageant and a dog show !!!!

But the best thing is at these comps we raise a ton of money for whichever charity is being supported, and you get to meet awesome folks who always have time for you.

With all this, I've so far managed to do pretty well with some first place's, 2nd at the British Beard & Moustache Championships in 2017, and a joint 6th place at the World Beard & Moustache Championships in 2019.  I've also managed to get quite a bit of press coverage, check out the link below.

I'm under no illusion, there are way thinker and longer beards out there than mine, so to hype it up I enter the 'freestyle' category, where I style my beard into curls and spikes. Want to see what I mean check out the video below.
