The Attic is our new home, located behind BeCalmed, Pronto and Primo Piano and accessed through the blue ally way door at Primo Piano.

We are now an appointment only studio, this now means we don't have a walk in service. You are still welcome to come in and see us to discuss your tattoo ideas but by appointment only. Our aim been to enhance our client experience and create a warm, safe relaxed environment.

WELCOME
Welcome to Old Smithy Tattoo an appointment only studio, owned by Artist Hollie May and her husband and Studio Manager Matt. We are based on the South West corner of the Peak District in the heart of the beautiful market town, Leek in the Staffordshire Moorlands.
We pride ourselves on professionalism and a great customer experience in a sterile, warm and friendly environment. We opened in Leek in 2011 as Hollie May Tattoos on St Edwards Street, in 2012 we moved to Fountain Street and established ourselves as Old Smithy Tattoo, then in 2018 we moved to The Smithfield Centre and in 2023 we started a new Chapter at The Attic at 8 Sheep Market as a private studio.
Our studio and artists, including guest artists are fully health registered with the local authority and practice to the highest standards.
We are an appointment only studio. Our artists will not copy other tattoo designs and will always inquire where artwork has come from. They will, however, use your ideas and reference to create you your own original personal tattoo.
